incise 2.0 | “it’s gonna pop”
Besides J-Dilla, there has only ever been one other producer whose music has brought so much emotion out of me.
I had learned about Incise through a friend of mine, who had been working alongside this underrated genius. After being sent one track, I requested that my friend send me EVERYTHING that this dude had ever created.
It’s been since 2005 that my ears fell in love with Incise’ music. And since 2005, Incise’ style has grown tremendously. He is no longer “just a producer of hip hop music”; rather producer of all styles and genres.
I am so proud of this dude’s accomplishments and know that he’s going to have an exciting next few years; as more and more folks are learning of his brilliance.

who the sh*t is Afrojack?
muddasucka, you ain't got no afro!!! but you do got them good ass beats!
Searching for originality on beatport makes me bug out sometimes. I sift through so much music and sadly the majority of it sounds the same. Sh*t is definitely not impressive.

So any who, I come upon a track that has me going bonkers!! It’s a remix of Moombah by this kid who calls himself Afrojack. Now if you don’t know who Afrojack is, then here’s the 411:
- his real name is Nick van de Wall and only recently started going by the name Afrojack
- dude is from Holland
- apparently got the itch to produce at age 11; downloading Fruity Loops, which is still his program of choice today
- his first “hit” was called F*ck Detroit
- his tracks are played and supported by folks like David Guetta, Josh Wink, Dave Clarke, Laidback Luke, Fedde Le Grand, Marco V, and Richard Durand
